who is francis ?

Francis Michaud was born in Saint-Tite, a town of 3,700 souls located in the center of Quebec in Canada. From primary school, he wrote his first poems. As a teenager, he decided to put his words into music. Later, in June 2013, he took the stage for the first time. In front of more than 2,000 people equipped with lights sticks, he sang for the first time an original composition in front of an audience. Dazzled by what he describes as a "carpet of light", he realizes that he belongs.

Determined, the young singer-songwriter gives himself the means of his ambitions. He moved alone at the age of 18 at Montreal city, writes tirelessly, writes down everything that inspires him and moves mountains to record his compositions in the studio and surround himself with a solid team that will help him achieve his artistic goals.

« I have always been ambitious. My drive comes from people who believe in me. I am lucky to be very well surrounded. Then when I doubt, it pushes me to go even further, to surprise myself. »

In October 2019, he launched his first EP "Francis Michaud", a mini-album of three original tracks. Then in the months and years that followed, the main interested party released several original songs, music videos and an album, which were particularly noticed by the editorial teams of Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Apple Music, SiriusXM and several radio stations in Canada as well as in France.

His lyrics, often autobiographical, tell the singular and the universal. The nuanced voice of the LGBTQ+ singer-songwriter powerfully conveys emotions. Many will be touched and inspired by the texts and the French Pop music of this passionate, intense and full of empathy artist who surrounds himself with creative and ambitious artists like him. His collaborations with Lydia Sutherland, Mario McFly, Maxime Fortin, Alexey Fominskiy (BLUFF), Christopher Therrien, Olivier Chartrand, Mélina Laplante, Cristina Ramires, Boisier, Maxime Proulx, RAND’ and many others, testify to these complicit emulations.

Francis making his way, in his own way, towards a long and successful career. Not a day goes by that he doesn't think of "the little guy from Saint-Tite" who left at 18 with almost nothing in his pocket to try his luck in music and get closer to his dreams.
